NEW ZEALAND champion wooden chopper Jason Wynyard has died following a short battle with an aggressive type of most cancers.
The Kiwi legend was identified with stage 4 Burkitt Lymphoma in Might and was pronounced useless on Wednesday morning.
Wynyard, 49, was surrounded by his beloved one’s at house on the time of his loss of life – together with his spouse, Sharon.
Wynyard gained over 100 world titles in wooden chopping and claimed 9 senior world championships in his time on the prime of his sport.
He holds the world file for Single Buck (with assistant) with a time of 9.39 in 2007.
He was additionally recognised within the Queen’s New Yr’s Honours record in 2017, making him a Member of the New Zealand Order of Advantage (MNZM).
A tribute was paid to Wynyard on the Rotorua Axemans Membership this morning.
“Within the early hours of Wednesday morning our Champion World Axemen and beloved Membership member Jason Wynyard misplaced his battle with most cancers, he handed away with the love of his life Sharon by his facet.
