CNN’s Kaitlan Collins grilled Rep. Bob Good about his previous feedback on Donald Trump after the Virginia Republican threw his help behind the previous president.
Good, chair of the far-right Home Freedom Caucus, had initially endorsed Ron DeSantis within the 2024 presidential race. Shortly after the Florida governor ended his marketing campaign on Sunday, Good offered his “full and whole endorsement” for Trump, calling him the “biggest president of my lifetime.”
On CNN’s “The Supply” Monday, Collins identified to Good, “You might be on digital camera very important of Donald Trump.”
Good argued that the video had been deceptively edited by a marketing campaign opponent “to take out the complimentary reward statements that I mentioned about President Trump.”
Collins requested, “So that you didn’t say these issues that you just’re on digital camera saying?”
Good replied, “You’re taking a part of the sentences out, and also you get a distinct conclusion from that sentence or a distinct inference from that sentence.”
Collins let viewers be the choose.
She performed a clip of Good wherein he mentioned: “I made a decision to endorse DeSantis in Might as a result of I felt like, you understand what, I can’t sit by and watch after which remorse that we nominated Trump.”
Good insisted that the video was deceptive as a result of it “takes out the half the place I reward President Trump and I mentioned, ‘He was the best president of my lifetime.’”
He mentioned he had supported DeSantis as a result of he believed the Florida governor had higher probabilities of successful battleground states.

Good’s preliminary endorsement of DeSantis angered some Trump allies, together with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who was ousted from the Home Freedom Caucus in July.
The video of Good that Collins was referring to was posted on-line anonymously and edited to point out varied excerpts from a dialog Good was having about Trump. The captions claimed it was shot at a marketing campaign occasion in Mineral, Virginia, on Oct. 21.
“You’re asking me privately, I don’t say this in public,” he mentioned at one level within the video.
Greene shared the footage in December, calling Good a “disloyal pretend MAGA Trump traitor.”
