Australia’s monetary regulator has sued eToro over its contract for distinction (CFD) product, alleging the buying and selling platform used inadequate screening exams when providing the leveraged spinoff contracts to retail buyers.
The Australian Securities and Investments Fee (ASIC) stated on Aug. 3 that it hadcommenced Federal Court docket proceedings over eToro’s CFD product for concentrating on too broad a market and breaching design and distribution guidelines.
